D's patch is off, his eyesight is now 20/20 (up from 20/240!), and we had a most delicious lunch to celebrate, including 1 martini (D) and 1 glass of sauvignon blanc (me), soft-shell crabs (D), crab cakes (me), and a white chocolate/fruit tart (us).
I've missed a lot of news. Eye operations are terrifying, aren't they? That's why I'm still wearing, some of the time, my specs. Glad to hear it went well and you both certainly deserved a delicious lunch. Angela
