Zuni Cafe cookbook is a good one to curl up with. Nigel Slater is a great almost daily read, and his photos were taken on the day he made whatever he said he cooked and ate. Interesting to think of the lighting as being (it is hoped) natural, reflecting the season, the dish, the time (the light falls the way the light fell . . .)
Dennis thought he saw "wild fermentation" hmmm...
ReplyDeletehave you ever made dandelion wine?
Dennis got tastr as a word ver. word , too!
I enjoy pickles and relishes.
ReplyDeleteyou make eating food sound so elegant. I like cookbooks because they lead to food smells.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip on Nigel, will pass it on.
ReplyDeleteOh sure! There was time for blogging but not knitting : >
ReplyDeleteCooking makes food.
ReplyDeleteThis looks more like my bookshelves. Your first bookshelf picture looked terribly neat...
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of taking photographs on the day the food was prepared/eaten. Intriguing take on a cookbook with a personal spin.
ReplyDeleteHey! I have the same Wild Fermentation book -- it's by Sander, a dude I've gotten to hang out with a few times...
