foot wear

Caught on the floor this afternoon in the kitchen

I went down to the studio to wind my warp; I have 40 more warp ends to wind, then I can dress the loom. The sky cleared and the temperature soared while I was there. Spring/summer is here, I think.

Roast chicken for dinner and a new week starts . . .

'Dressing the loom': what a phrase - it reaches back down the ages to Penelope and beyond.

I admire yr clean kitchen floor . . . ;)

I I second Sally's comment, especially the one about the kitchen floor! ;-)
I also like the two different critters "meeting" down there.

I see a cook book... The Cooking of the British Isles. Hmmm.
Overcooked veggies, lumpy gravy and Lard Pie with Lard Sauce.
And I'm from Britain!

Ought to send you some unmarked samples and have you spend some time with them and write reviews. I have always wanted to do that.

Shammie: Yes, it's in the Time-Life series, a book procured when I was having my intense love affair with eBay. It has great photos from the early/mid 70s when I was spending time in Britain, so I love it. And it has some very good recipes, too.

Ched: YES! Would love to do so; e-mail me if you want to.

is that one of soul's friends?
i like the sheepy slippers. but don't you feel an obligation to keep your feet together all the time?
;op

and ex-shammie, i'm surprised at you! british cooking is not what it used to be - tho the best of it was always pretty good. That's school dinners you're describing that is!

I'm happy because now my younger son is at home for a while. I'm happy because when it rains and I want to go outside, I may enter in his shoes very easily.
