HEY!

somebody stole all the Obama/Biden signs in my neighborhood! But, oddly, all the McCain-Palin signs are still standing. What can this mean? Does that idiot think by taking away the signs, he's taking away our votes?? Well, it gives me an excuse to go down to campaign headquarters to get more and maybe donate a bit extra.

Here are a couple, just because:

Barack Obama in '08

good for you! bad sign stealers! i would never even touch a mccain sign. things are going to get real ugly i think --some people on tv news show were screaming and some were saying they would not vote for a black person no matter what.i hope this stops.

You rock Tut-tut. Thank you for your advice. I do not get sign stealing....

I wonder why they only took the Obama signs? Maybe they already have enough McCain signs in their collection?

How terrible. A friend of mine had her mailbox smashed but the sign was left intact. Go figure.

I went to an Obama rally last night and they were saying that there is a shortage of signs for non-swing states, but the campaign feels the priority should be person to person contact. It's taking a long time to get signs in most places.

When people realize they are losing they sometimes resort to mean and desperate measures.

We are having and election in Canada today (Oct 14). Last week 3 neighbourhoods had Liberal Party signs stolen, anti-Liberal graffiti sprayed on walls, and some Liberal supporters had their brake lines cut on their cars parked in theur driveways! Unbelieveably stupid.

How mature of those people to steal signs. Pathetic! Everything about the McCain campaign has sunk to the lowest common denominator. For heaven's sake!

When you put up replacements, perhaps you might consider donning plastic/rubber gloves and rubbing dog poo, poison ivy, or some other icky substance on the signs? I've had friends do such things with some success (either to discourage further thefts or to punish the offenders!).

Both parties are always asked to refrain from lawn signs where I live, and they respect that. I guess it helps prevent this type of shenanigans!

I put here to Suzanne`s URL from Nashville. She is talented woman in many ways:

She is worth getting know!

I think you got few good moments and vibrations also by reading also writings of this lady:

Especially her 12th Sunday post :)

Your focus of this week is not perhaps working in this moment not in politics or economical crisis !
But it is just right in our relationships with family or relatives or friends or . . . .
Am I right or wrong in your opinion?
Most Finns would vote Obama, if it could be helping a little :)

Good for you Tut - I cannot tell you how much people outside of the USA are holding their breath over this - most of us praying that Obama will win through, as it seems unspeakable that the mad Sarah Palin should get within sniffing distance of the White House - and it seems to us that their camp is simply descending into the worst kind of bigotry, which shows a kind of insular prejudice the world could well do without. My only fear is that the bigots and ignorant come out in droves to vote them in. God save us if they do. Obama would be a much better and calming force in global politics.
(I'm not normally this outspoken BTW!)

I didn't see a single McCain sign, bumper sticker or badge last summer in Olympia, WA. But then again, Washington State has a 100% chance of voting Obama (source fiverthirtyeight.com)

lots of obama signs in my neighborhood.... which I'm taking as a good sign! I don't think we have to worry about cleveland, what is critical is how the rest of the state of ohio goes... however if we really get out the vote up here then we can help the overall totals.

shame on sign stealers!

(I thought I commented on this yesterday, but I seem to have chronic problems with word verification!)

I think some McCain supporters are starting to panic at the idea that they are going to come in 2cnd!

This happened to a friend of mine in Spokane, but she found them in an alley and put ALL of them in her yard! I suppose little by little, people came back to claim their own sign...

Keep the faith.
