Captured early in the morning, out the back door.
Wintery, a condition that is in short supply down this way, and one that I find I miss more and more as the years spin by.
Neighbors' lights, glinting through the trees. I find it comforting to catch a glimmer or two.
Happy Advent season!

Pretty pictures. I love the winter season, so comforting.
Winter's great for Christmas, bracing walks and sitting by the fire with a good book but I prefer Spring and Autumn. I really don't like cold weather and having to get up and out in the cold..
This post makes me feel all cozy-like. Looks like your neighbors are the perfect distance away - not too close, but within waving distance.
The last pic is my fave it must be the glimmer ...
Hurray for winter.
Looks very cold.
Beautiful!
I, too, miss having a real winter, something we always had in Kansas City where I grew up. And yes, lights glimmering (perfect word) though snow-covered branches is reassuring.
Happy winter!
"Glinting" is a perfect word, too!
we haven't had any cold yet here... seems a bit odd still and my brain still thinks it is october. obviously i am in some sort of denial regarding the holiday just around the corner. i think some frosty goodness would help.
I love snow! so odd that you all had some - both so early and at all!
speaking of snow, today diane rehm had mary chapin carpenter on and they were talking of the beauty of snow and played a few songs from mary's christmas album called "come darkness, come light" I'm putting it on my musical wish list! check it out.
and speaking of christmas music, how is your friend's project going?
Brrr.
Don't really like winter, but I do love the Christmas lights and the beauty of ice and snow.
Rec'd your card THX! M. is mailing the O. stickers on saturday. xxx
Such evocative photographs, very seasonal, Happy Advent to you too.
Gosh that looks cold. Love the lights through the dark trees.
Winter is so pretty... through the window of a nice warm room!
Yes, Happy Advent. 'Tis the Season.
Spooky looking at times, but pretty anyway ; )
White, snow blowing/falling and in the teens yesterday and today.
Brrrrrrr
these are gorgeous - esp. with the glowing lights through the branches.

I adore winter, its IS cosy and comforting for the soul...
And I love the picture of the lights shining through the trees, you're lucky to have a home in such beautiful surroundings
