This week

L: cello, music in the mornings, and walking Zeke in the evening. School starts on the 18th. Time to fall into a schedule. Not looking forward to it. Two more years . . . very much not looking forward to the End.

I still feel I'm in the peak of the holiday, but I know it'll be over before I even know it.
Best wishes

Reminds me of the Lennon quote that life is what happens to you while you were busy making other plans!

the end of school, and L living at HOME! Moving on to college, etc.

Wow, school starts early there! Enjoy your time ... Any chance of eventually finding a local college as a commuter student?

Look on the bright side. When L leaves home, you will have a room to devote entirely to yarn!

That probably wasn't a helpful suggestion. : (

L's room will be turned into a turtle-arium, right?

ends are just a different kind of beginning...the circle continues!

I remember em's junior year when we did the great tour 'checking out colleges' - it was a great adventure and we had wonderful mother-daughter time together - a few of those mother daughter dramas we talked about, of course, but what is life without some drama! hope you make it up to check out oberlin, and if so - mi casa es su casa

I agree school does start early down there! but it probably ends early also???

Change of all kinds is horrible and I hate partings, endings, goodbyes of all descriptions... except where the thing goodbyed or disposed of is so thoroughly unpleasant that... well you know...

Then again I still end up missing it and wanting it back half the time, even THEN!!

back on 18th? that seems so early to us! wouldn't it be nice if time could just stretch and slow down a bit, just for a while?

I hope L. goes with nyc ...so many choices, but you know how I feel about nyc, and L. will feel the same after awhile there.

BD: You won't have to convince L about nyc . . . she is a city dweller if ever there was one. Plus +++ that ched et al. would be there to visit . . .

Well, it's not really the end, although the high school part is over. There's college, marriage and then grandkids. Not the same but really interesting and your life will head in a whole new direction. Mine certainly did.
