Off to Target etc. with the complex and mournful Radiohead coming through the speakers. L's teacher has a theory about what this one's about, so . . . I'm not sure I do, though.
But while inside the big box, pushing through the sad Xmas remainders, I noticed Someone had placed a copy of the Beatles' A Hard Day's Night in my basket. Well.
We put it on during the drive back. What bright, shiny, pure music that is. Not unlike a January day.

sounds like the bright shiny January day we are having too.
Definitely bright and shiny music! Good choice over Radiohead any day.
You can't go far wrong witht he Beatles.
I am not the biggest Beatles fan -- love the history, but not so crazy about the music. If pushed, I prefer the very early and the very late. I can't bear Sergeant Pepper's..., Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields. They just seem contrived to me.
Now the Kinks, that's a different story!
As for Radiohead, I don't know everything but "Let Down" is one of my top ten favorite songs ever...
Blog on!
Someone gave me the entire Beatles set for Xmas. Yow!
My sister is a huge Radiohead fan - I missed them, somehow. She will usually include a song of theirs in the mix CD's she makes for me, so I am slowly working my way into familiarity...
One of my favorites was always Norwegian Wood. And the birthday song since I play it yearly for my birthday. Oh for the days when all I had to worry about was bringing home a boyfriend who had long hair...
