In memoriam for first Tuxedo under the Clinton administration. Socks would have turned 20 this year. He had been adopted in Arkansas when Chelsea was a little girl. Clinton's former secretary, Betty Currie, had cared for Socks since 2001. Socks had been suffering from a cancer of the mouth and jaw.

yeah RIP to Socks... did the Clintons take it home with them when they left?... Surely once that thicko "Dubya" moved in the cat would have run off screaming anyhow I doubt it would have got in past Bush's post-9-11 security alerts...

Socks was a very handsome fellow. I am also adored by a Tux and he is both smart and friendly, as was Socks. I wish him a wonderful afterlife and kudos to Ms. Currie for giving Socks a comfortable life and the Clinton's for giving Socks to her.
Dennis turned against the Clintons when he heard socks was banished to some basement dungeon while that dog (who later got flattened in NY) romped upstairs. Equal Treatment for Pets!!!
