Back from blogger blah?

You know, I've been feeling pretty lethargic lately:

And I kind of let go of blogging; I wish I could really get back into the swing of it all. I'm not the most prolific or profound, but I do get some satisfaction out of this online doodling.

Because we've had such a hot, dry summer, our CSA box has been filled with lots of these:

so much, so that there is an entire large folding table of them, drying in my garage. Does anyone want some organic dried red peppers? Or can suggest any uses for them, beyond the usual?? I've got some dried from years ago, which have ceased to look decorative and now look merely petrified. They've become little grey shriveled nubbins in their quaint Ball jar. (Yes, during my eBay period, I collected lots and lots of 1940s Ball jars . . .)

This appeared magnificently in the back garden:

The zig-zag thread she's spun looks just like cotton; quite durable, it seems. I haven't noticed any prey within her web, but the web itself must be 4 feet across. She herself is--let me check--3 inches at least. And she HAS caught something; she's almost finished mummifying it right this minute. I wonder what it is--or was??

I've gotten back to yoga; my bag awaits. It feels really good, but I'm stiff after a summer away from it.

But with my Pilates class, too, I'll soon be a toned rubberband, with muscles rippling at every movement . . .

L is busy with cello; she took this herself of herself (with the timer, I presume):

Her quartet/octet is very busy, playing at various venues. This weekend they play during the Komen race; then Father H's daughter is getting married, so they are playing at that wedding, plus various others school functions. It's cutting into her social life, though . . .

Speaking of Father H, church and Sunday school, both adult and youth, satisfyingly loony and fun. We talked about Descartes (I think, therefore I am . . .) one week and Kierkegaard last week! Oh the odd questions that arose! Can't wait for Sunday to roll around again . . .

If you want to unload some of your peppers, I can use them for the Kimchi....:)

They do look delicious. Freeze, preserve in oil and garlic, barbeque and then do likewise, freeze, put in every dish you eat!

Well done on posting after ALL this time.
Cheers

Those peppers do look good and I love the cello self-portrait.

It`s good in blogging, that you can do it, if you feel so and stop doing, if you are tired of it unlike many other things in our lives :)

I would like to get some your peppers, because we can not get them
to grow here. I have tried to do that inside, but not with very good success.

I could sit hours and listen to sounds of cello, it`s so beautiful.

Happy days to you and your family!

I forgot to say something about Descartes and Kierkegaard.
I have read thoughts of both men and they have so universal and timeless thoughts, that people of nowadays can use them too.
We read about both men already in our schools.

There are a lot of good and profound quotes from Kierkegaard, one of the best and simplest is:"Don't forget to love yourself."
I like your spider, she'd probably eat my daady long legs! The Peacocks were butterflies, not birds, so wild yes. (:-

I have a million of those peppers, too, I am thinking of making some kind of hot chili oil - otherwise, I have no ideas for them. I think it is Big Spider season here, too!

It gets kind of tough to post when you get out of the habit doesn't it? But this was worth waiting for, a lovely post. That spider is amazing, I've never seen a web like that before, I hope she is harmless.
I have a grden spider in the kitchen, I know I know he should have been outted ages ago. But he was so tiny I didn't have the heart and I was planning to have him turfed out when he got big enough. Now it seems too cold...

I wondered where you'd been! That is some spider by the way. We have ones that are almost as big here, but they don't make such pretty, exotic zig-zag webs.

I don't post every day, just when I have something interesting to report, but just recently my life has been so busy that I haven't had much time for bloggerating. And during the next couple of weeks it will get worse, leading up to The Wedding.... but I'll be here sporadically!!!

Love that stretching cat picture, I'll feel like that once The Wedding is over.

Nice doodly blog. I really enjoyed it!
Thank you for visiting my site. We only got back at 3.00 am yesterday. The photos of us in the boats were taken by a bloke who was out in an inflatable. In the evening he put all his photos on computer and then you browse few and put the ones you want into a folder. At the end of the holiday he puts the selected pictures on a CD and you buy it off him. It wasn't cheap, and he whittled down the number to 37, but as we couldn't take out a camera for fear of capsizing, we felt it was worth spending the money for such a brilliant souvenir.

How is your friend doing?

Lorenzo.
