Kate Rusby

I dug out my Little Lights CD, and then thought I'd have a look at YouTube for some others:

beautiful voice. thanks for the turn on, i don't have anything by her although i'm sure i've heard her sing on the wksu weekend folk shows or on thistle and shamrock.

she has a quality that june tabor possesses which for me makes kate the heir apparent as the next queen of british folk music!

will have to find her website to see if she tours the u.s.

There are more parts to the interviews; I think the link is internally embedded. If not, go to YouTube.

no tour dates in u.s. but understandable as she has a wee one

looked her up on the portal. interesting love live husband #1 was a scottish fiddler who was with the battlefield band, current hubby and father of wee one is also a musician - perhaps he's in these vids...

I knew I'd seen her mentioned somewhere! Just heard she's singing at a festival I'm ging to in August. Having listened to these clips, I'm looking forward to seeing her :)

Just catching up here. I ADORE her. Every time we go back to the UK I hope she is playing somewhere so I can go, but it just never works out. I hadn't seen this doc and My Young Man is one of my absolute favorites. Makes me cry EVERY time I hear it, could also be because of Grimethorpe Colliery who I also love. I had no idea that song was about her family.
