Yes,

our tree is up, thanks to L and D. And without much of a to do, either (no bad words; well, not many). This is the first year I've really felt festive since my mother died, I think. I'm finally ready to get into the spirit. We made polymer clay ornaments today, and had a generally Christmas-tidey time. L made her first batch of gingerbread, and quite delicious too. She even cleaned up. So another big step.

I've got some presents to wrap, and the church to help green tomorrow (even some greenery to contribute, after D lopped off the bottom branches of the tree), so things are going a lot more smoothly, at least internally, than they have the past several years.

And I'm truly thankful for the new friends I've met this year; so talented and endearing, the lot of them.

I love the coloured lights! We have the clear on our tree, which is nice too, but less dramatic.
All the colors makes it feel more festive, doesn't it?

So pleased to hear that you are feeling Christmassy this year I think I know it has been tough for you. Your tree looks lovely and how lovely to help at the church. Bringing the greenery into the house is the thing I love most about Christmas, going out in the cold and damp, sometimes rain and choosing holly, ivy and bits of conifers is heaven!
Merry Christmas to you and yours and a happy New Year.

That's a lovely tree. Once the tree is up, and the lights are shining, Christmas spirit pervades the whole house I find. Superduper! We had our official family Christmas dinner a couple of days ago, as both sons are going to their inlaws this Christmas. Of course, I've blogged about it!

Wishing you a wonderful Christmas. Your tree is beautiful. We, too, made gingerbread (men). A long-tradition in our family. We introduced the son-in-law to this one.

I'm sure you'll have memories as I did of my grandmother (with whom I made the gingerbread men)- you of your mother - as you go through traditions.

Christmas Cheers!

P.S. Google/Blogger restructured the comments so non-Bloggers like me can have the URL show up. Hurray.
